The safety of our visitors, customers and our Clay Habitat members who run our gallery shop remains our highest priority during these socially-distanced times due to Covid-19.  Apart from the new measures we have implemented in-store, we are also restricting our opening times.

Our current opening times are: Wednesday - Sunday : 11am till 4pm. Late opening on Thursday from 11am till 8pm.

Clay Habitat UK is a gallery & retail shop in Lower Marsh, London Waterloo, that showcases the work of ceramics makers & artists. Our main ethos is to bridge the gap between the makers and the public by connecting on a personal and individual level; bringing our work from our hands directly to you!

The gallery & retail shop is run entirely by our resident makers & artists, so when you buy a ceramics piece from Clay Habitat UK, you are dealing and buying directly from the makers & artists themselves.

Events, Workshops & Talks

We regularly host and organise events here at Clay Habitat; from previews of new collections by our markers & artists to sales, demonstrations, workshops and talks.

Most of our events are free to attend, however there are some where we will have to charge; we try to keep this down to a minimum just to cover costs.

About Us

The Clay Habitat Story

Founded in January 2019 by Caroline and Wardi, Clay Habitat UK was formed in response to providing a much-needed space for ceramics makers & artists to connect directly with the public. As makers & artists themselves, they feel that there is no such facility available in London where the makers can showcase & sell their work in a permanent space on a personal & individual level; a space run entirely by the makers & artists themselves.

They invited their friends to join them on their journey, and on the 1st of February 2019, Clay Habitat opened its doors to the public at Lower Marsh, Waterloo, London.....
