John-Eric Johnson Ceramics

Originally from Quebec, Canada, John-Eric moved to the UK in 1989 and now lives in Blackheath, London. He produces contemporary, functional and decorative slipware in his ‘trademark’ blue and white.

He has exhibited his work in a number of open studio events and galleries in the UK and his work is found in corporate and private collections in the UK, USA (JW Marriot, Las Vegas Resort & Spa), Canada, Barbados, South Africa, France, and Norway.

"My work incorporates both throwing and hand-building techniques using a variety of stoneware bodies. Using decorative slipware, I produce contemporary and functional ware; my work is often expressed in a fluid, painterly style, random checked patterns and swirling 'scribbles'." — John-Eric.
